Kwid and Redi-Go’s Secret Recall

The Renault-Nissan alliance has recently made a silent recall for its two major offerings the Renault KWID & the Datsun Redi-Go. Sources say that the faulty fuel system and need for a hose clip are the reasons why company is flooded with complaints this season.

This campaign includes recalling of around 50,000 units of KWID and 932 units of Datsun Redi-GO, launched in June this year.

Renault India said it is conducting a pre-emptive and voluntary inspection of select 0.8 L variants (800cc) of Kwid that were produced from October 2015 to 18th May 2016.

The company has detected a fault in the fuel system and wants to mend it by adding a hose clip to it.The company also wants to evaluate the overall functionality of the fuel system as a part of its proactive measure.

The alliance is contacting every customer and asking them to drop their vehicles to the service stations nearby.

The affected cars will be inspected without any cost to the customers and carry out necessary measures, if required.

The company also informed that a minor 10% of the total cars recalled are likely to be impacted by the issue.
