Tesla already bumped the market with its strong products and positioning. However there is some good news for the people planning to buy this segment.
Henrik Fisker, recently reported that he is about to launch Fisher Inc, a company that would make electric cars and give a direct competition to the American automotive company Tesla.
Fisher, however did not disclose the name of the company/entity, investing in his venture. But he informed that his new company plans a battery powered model, that would be a direst Tesla Model S, which is priced at around $65,000.
The date of its initiation in still a secret yet to be revealed.
As per Fishers plans, he also has plans to launch another electric wider that would give a tough competition to the Tesla Model 3, expected to be laced at a price of $35,000.
Fisher said his new electric cars will be powered by a long-range battery that uses graphene to extend its range and life and reduce charging time. The company is targeting a 400-mile driving range between charges, Fisher said.
Fisher has also tried his hands with the Danish automotive designer's previous venture, Fisker Automotive, once was a rival to Tesla Motors Inc in the nascent market for electric luxury cars.In 2007, he built fewer than 2,000 cars through 2016 and burnt $1.4 billion in private investments and taxpayer-funded loans from the U.S. Department of Energy.
